My sister was in a six car pile up. She was the third car and the police report states that she was stationary. We live in NJ. Now, she has been contacted by the legal teams of two of the other people involved. Is this something she should be concerned about, or do they typically just go after everyone? Is there something she could do to pre-empt any legal battles? We really do not want to get a lawyer or deal with any courts but if that is the next move, we would like to know now what to expect.
